“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have OVERCOME the world.” John 16:33
We are almost to summer and the beginning of our Leadership Program. We are interviewing applicants and can’t wait to start training our youth to be missionaries in the community. There is still time to donate to this ministry! And there is one thing we KNOW youth love to do…EAT! We provide lunch for them every day, and if you have the wonderful talent of cooking, picking up and delivering lunch, or donating gift cards, we could use your help. Please email decaturncc1994@gmail.com to sign up to provide lunch for our youth missionaries in June or the first part of July.
This is a great opportunity for a summer job. Each youth receives a stipend for the 7 weeks they participate in the program, and the work week is Monday – Thursday. And at the end of the 7 weeks, there is a trip to close out the summer program. If you know someone who is in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade who would like to apply for our Summer Program, contact the NCC at 256-351-7633 or email at decaturncc1994@gmail.com.

This program helped me a lot with my social skills and it helped me grow spiritually, mentally, and as a person in general. The environment was peaceful and calm and we all love each other like family.

I decided to come back again because I believe God’s work in me and in this program was not done. I pray blessings over every one of them and can’t wait to see what God has planned for them and me. -Joseph
I really do believe the Lord moved through this group and we were able to accomplish so much because of Him. This was the best summer yet -Ian

This year we studied Ephesians and I’ve learned many things like grace through faith, being made one in Christ, and the importance of unity. I pray that we’ve been able to impact others as much as my peers in the program have impacted me -Samara
This year taught me several skills including how to handle confrontation as well as how to teach the Gospel to others. Ms. Bethany has made a huge impact in my life through this program -Abigail
