Several of our NCC family went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. They said it was an absolute blessing from the minute they arrive until the day they returned. Two of our staff members, Hilda Delgado and Sandra Pina taught the Dominican ladies three lessons from the book, Twelve Extraordinary Women. The first lesson was on Sarah and the ladies soaked it all in. After listening to the life of Sarah, a few shared how God spoke to them personally from this lesson. The second day’s lesson was on Ruth’s loyalty and love. As Hilda and Sandra looked around, they noticed that the ladies’ books were all marked up with notes. Not only did they read about the three women that the lessons were on, but they had so much eagerness to learn that they couldn’t stop reading and had almost finished the book! They shared that the women in the book were like them, and they asked God for His revelation for understanding His Word in a practical way. The last day the ladies heard about the Samaritan woman, and they were ready to share what they had learned from their own reading. They finished with prayer, a song of worship, and a time of sharing where God had spoken to them through the lessons and the fire had been ignited. They called it Revival Week! One of our board members, Pastor Regina Willingham, taught the youth straight from the Word and opened their hearts and minds to Jesus as their Savior. Along with many Bible studies, the mission team cleaned, washed dishes, painted, and of course played with all the children. Many came to know Christ for the first time along with others rededicating their life. The whole team was beyond thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the advancement of God’s kingdom!
