Soup For Souls

THANK YOU for Another Successful “Soup for Souls”

WOW! Another “Soup for Souls” is in the books. The soups were delicious, the art was beautiful, and the fellowship was uplifting. There are so many people who come together and make this event a success. The restaurants are always willing to donate some of their delicious soups and there are so many people who take time to make desserts and cornbread. Many local artists donated original artwork along with some artists who used their talent and painted pottery. We also have several shops on Bank St that give items from their collection. A huge thank you to Sykes Place for always hosting this event.

This year’s sponsors were gracious again in supporting not only this event but also the Education & Discipleship Program at the Center. The funds raised this year will help purchase curriculum for our many classes at the Center, inside jails/prisons and at other places. We have been so blessed to have the opportunity to teach inside Morgan County Jail every day of the week (and most days multiple times each day). We provide all these classes at no cost so money is never an issue with those attending classes. We are excited about what God has in store this year for our Education & Discipleship Program

But, “Soup for Souls” would not be successful without the loyal guests who come and enjoy this event. We had several first timers and a great silent auction. We also could not do it without all of our volunteers!!! Those who serve, clean up, wash dishes, and make this event run so smoothly. We appreciate all of your support not only on this day but throughout the year.
