Soup For Souls

The Neighborhood Christian Center is preparing for the 9th annual “Soup for Souls” fundraiser on Thursday, March 1, 2017!  We will host a soup dinner that includes a silent auction of special artwork and gifts by local artists. At this event, guests enjoy eating soup donated by many local restaurants. This unique event gives the guests the option to paint their own bowl or mug prior to the event or select from hand painted bowls that night. “Soup for Souls” raises funds for the Neighborhood Christian Center while giving our programs exposure within our community.  We offer a wide variety of programs and this year, we would like the funds generated to be designated for new and current curriculums within our Education and Discipleship Programs.

In 2018, we plan to continue to invest more strategically in educational programs within targeted communities in Decatur along with the local prison and jail system.  Ministry objectives for each neighborhood would include:

Bible Studies: Sample Curriculum (Books of the Bible, Named By God, Sermon On The Mount, The Potter’s Hand, Armor of God, One in a Million, Purpose Driven Life)

Rehabilitation: Sample Curriculum (Relapse Prevention, Life’s Healing Choices, Wounded Woman, Anger Management, Idol Addiction, Life Recovery)

Life Skill Courses: Sample Curriculum (Work Life, Faith and Finance, Life Skills 101, Boundaries)
