Fall is in the air and so are our Fall/Winter Children & Youth Programs. We are gearing up with Backyard Bible Clubs, tutoring at the Boys and Girls Club, First Priority at Brookhaven Middle School, Eastwood, and Ben Davis, System of Services for Youth, Holiday assistance and youth mentoring programs. We can always use volunteers and supplies for these programs. If interested email email@example.com or call 256-351-7633.
The Neighborhood Christian Center realizes that there is no greater investment than our children and youth. They are our future and deserve and need to experience healthy relationships, circumstances and training in order to live out a healthy, productive life and be able to offer healthy relationships and circumstances to their future families.
The Center offers programs for children and youth across our community. We also partner with several organizations in order to improve the lives of children and youth we are all working with whether in the school system, low-income neighborhoods, judicial systems, and more. The Neighborhood Christian Center is now offering more than 50 classes and programs weekly that serve children, youth, individuals and families. The more we work with the children and youth of our community (and their families) we are confronted with the magnitude of the problems they face; dysfunctional families due to broken relationships, incarceration, poverty, child abuse (mental, emotional, physical and sexual), failing grades, peer pressure, and much more. The Center seeks to serve these children and youth with a holistic approach by building relationships with them (and their families) in order to deal with the root issues at hand.
In 2015 – We have served more than 9,574 children, youth and adults through attendance in our Bible Studies/Educational Classes/Programs. In
