The Neighborhood Christian Center desires to serve our Neighbors in need with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the areas we focus on is loving others through our Compassionate Christ Centered Ministries. A huge part of this ministry is our Neighbors’ Days held on Mondays and Wednesdays, where we provide food, clothes, hygiene items, and partial financial assistance (on a limited basis).
During this time our volunteers and staff get the opportunity to love on, and pray for those that may come through the doors for a more material reason. Many times we get the chance to go deeper and discuss concerns or issues our neighbors may be dealing with. We are then afforded the opportunity to offer them our services through our other programs and classes.
After the initial consult and prayer time the volunteer or staff member takes the neighbor shopping for needed items. We desire that the neighbors we serve feel the Love of Christ through us as we follow His example.
We aspire to be a blessing to everyone that comes through our doors. Therefore, we have set NEW GUIDELINES in place to enhance the entire experience. We are sharing the greatest thing we have to offer – the Love of Christ and He gave only His best. Please make a note of these donation requests:
-Clothing must be gently worn (no holes or stains), smoke-free, and in current style
-Household items need to be in working condition
-We no longer accept TVs with the exception of current models in working condition
-Heavy items need to be packaged separately to prevent lifting injuries
-Please call to inquire and schedule a large furniture drop offs
