This year, our Summer Youth Leadership Program is centered around the theme "Heart of a Servant," inspired by Matthew 23:11, which teaches, "But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant." This verse holds profound wisdom applicable to all, but our program participants will live out its meaning throughout the summer.
While this isn't your typical summer job, it offers an invaluable opportunity for growth and learning. Over the course of the summer, youth will explore four key pillars of servanthood: spiritual transformation, community empowerment, character development, and career attainment. Immersed in the teachings of the Word of God, they'll study Jesus' example of servanthood and engage in community service projects both locally and beyond. Through engaging speakers and hands-on experiences, participants will develop essential character traits as they journey towards becoming self-sufficient adults. For those unsure of their career path, the program offers exposure to various job sites, providing insights into different career options and fostering passion and skills for success.
To be part of this transformative experience, interested youth must complete an application and undergo an interview process. Upon acceptance, there will be a parent/guardian meeting to ensure everyone is fully informed and involved.
As we embark on this journey, we need your support to make it possible. Our goal is to raise $35,000 to cover expenses, stipends, trips, and meals for the participants. Your contribution, whether through the enclosed envelope or our website, will enable us to provide a life-changing experience for these young leaders.
We are thrilled about the upcoming summer and look forward to sharing the exciting adventures of our Summer Youth Leadership Program with you. Join us in shaping the hearts and minds of tomorrow's servant leaders!
